Where to watch

In the coming weeks we’ll be adding local bars, taverns and cafes that show Premiership matches. Drop us a line and tell Hammer in the 503 where you watch footy in Portland.

BEULAHLAND

http://beulahlandpdx.com/

118 NE 28th Ave
Portland, OR 97232
(503) 235-2794

Pretty much the best place to watch football in Portland right now, Opens nice and early, none of that “We’ll be showing the second half of West Ham vs Arsenal” business. It’s dark, it has booths, it has a great selection of beers on tap and does a decent Breakie. It feels like a pub and it feels like a cafe but most importantly it feels like somewhere people who love and understand football go to watch football.

Word is, there are plenty of Hammers who gather at Beulahland for match days, thanks to Dave of Dave knows Portland and Laurie Jane for the shout.

KELLS

112 Southwest 2nd Avenue,
Portland, OR
(503) 227-4057‎

A quality up market pub, nice food, good beers, lovely Whiskey selection if you like that sort of thing, cigar room downstairs, they do early opening for Prem matches along with replays of the ‘too early for pub’ kick offs, which is handy if you can stay away from the internet and avoid the scores. Because of the booths and the position of the screens, there is a limited number of premium viewing spots, never the less, a decent pub to watch the footy in, handy for the Monday 11.45am kick off (UK evening game) and Champions league games if you work downtown.

HORSE BRASS PUB

4534 Southeast Belmont Street
Portland, OR 97215-1687
(503) 232-2202

This place definitely has a British feel about it, I think you either love it or you hate it, I prefer it for an evening pint rather than watching early morning football.

IF YOU FIND YOURSELF DOWN SOUTH….

LUCKY BALDWIN’S

http://www.luckybaldwins.com/

17 South Raymond Avenue
Pasadena, CA 91105-1913
(626) 795-0652

LA Hammer Angela tells us that the West Ham are usually out in force down at Lucky Baldwin’s in Pasadena, give it a try if you’re down that way. Cheers for the tip Ange!

IF YOU FIND YOURSELF UP NORTH….

GEORGE & DRAGON PUB
www.georgeanddragonpub.com
206 North 36th Street,
Seattle, WA
(206) 545-6864‎

Without doubt the best pub in Seattle to watch football in, multiple screens showing multiple games, delayed screenings etc. An all day Saturday session in the G&D is well worth the effort….not that it takes a lot of effort to sit watching football pounding beers for 10 hours. Anyway, they get it at the G&D, a great footy pub. The Fado and Kells in Seattle also deserve an honorable mention.

    Come On You Irons!

Fellow West Ham supporter in Portland here. A group of West Ham fans often meet up at Beulahland (http://beulahlandpdx.com/) for matches when possible. Great to see this site and would love to have a Hammer meet up at some point!

      Hey LJ,

Great to hear from a Portland Hammer and glad to see the site is getting through. I’ve just started watching football in Beulahland, definitely one of the better options in town. Pass this site on to your West Ham mates, if you or any of your friends want to help or contribute to the site that would be awesome, the more the merrier.

        Hi SD,

Nice to meet you! I’ll definitely let fellow Portland Hammers know about the site and would be happy to be contribute as needed.

I’m watching the match on Sunday at home since it’s at 5:30am. Also, the Marathon on Burnside (opens early) used to show matches and The Rose & Thistle (opens at 12pm, so better for delayed recordings) will show them as well if you ask.

Feel free to drop me a line!

    Up the ammers!
    Great site!
I love seeing match times in PST for once :)
Hammer girl in Los Angeles here just throwing my hat in to say hello.
A bunch of us watch matches live at Lucky Baldwin’s in Pasadena.

If any of you are ever in L.A., that’s the place where the Hammers supporters are in numbers!

    COYI!
